Creeping fig, brick walkways and piazzas

While returning from Florida last week, the Colonel and I stopped off in Charleston, SC for a couple of days. Beautiful, clear weather allowed for some remarkable pictures of the local architecture and spring in full bloom.

Tomorrow, a collection of boot scrapers in Charleston.

Thank you for posting those beautiful pictures from my favorite city. It made my day! Although born in Wisconsin, when I haven't visited Charleston for a while, I feel homesick.

Gwennie... so happy to take you on a journey of a place from your past. It was gorgeous. I actually snapped 135 photos with the digital while there, if you can believe it.

CinC...I understand that the creeping fig must be snipped every two weeks to obtain the fabulous clinging effect. A nice attention to detail,I love the fig vine on the step risers. Enjoy!

Love your Charleston photos, it's been awhile since I was there. I need to put it on the list of things to do!
