At the Warner Theater this past weekend, the Colonel and I caught the Broadway production of The 39 Steps. Very funny it was. Lots of very funny British humor. Should you attend, see how many references to other works by Alfred Hitchcock you can identify while watching!

domestic glimpse.2
Objects too many to name.
I have a number of lamps in my house attached to timers. On at dusk and off around bedtime.
No need to turn on and off lighting in these rooms.
Useful when I am away as well.
No worries.

"something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue"
Family silver is an elegant and thoughtful wedding gift to a son and his future wife. These demitasse spoons, engraved with the initial of the groom's last name, will be presented at the rehearsal dinner. The aged and antiquated bag/container which held the silver spoons for many years has now been replaced by a new one fashioned from Pacific Silver Cloth and some grosgrain ribbon. I finished stitching it today.

SWAK
Later this spring, my son will be marrying a delightful young lady from Bermuda. Addressing and mailing the invitations within the United States will be one of my contributions to the fete; I am happy to assist. The bride has requested a sealing wax finish to the inner envelope and a beauty it is. Very romantic, methinks. This nice touch reminds me of the series, The Tudors, which I adore! The Post Office has been quite cooperative and allows me to hand-stamp the postage so the envelopes will not catch up in the machine cancelling process. Thank you. Will you guess which stamps I am attaching for the mailing?

Wrinkle-free in a jiffy
Eager to save bucks at the dry cleaning counter, I purchased this new toy. It works amazingly well as it removes wrinkles in seconds from sweaters, slacks, suits, ties, and much more, I am sure. Leaves no "flat appearance" like an iron would.
