All the drama and eccentricity one can take are here for the watching. One observational note: Lady Maud, if your monkey, Solomon must sit on the table while drinking sweet tea and munching chutney, he needs to wear pants.

I recorded Sunday night's first episode and will watch it one night this week when nothing else is on...can't wait! I loved the first series 40 years ago.
Hi Rosemary, I did not watch the originals back in the 70's as my interests were elsewhere. However, I really enjoyed Sunday's first episode...runs parallel to DA, for sure. Hope you enjoy as well!
I was so excited to hear this was coming to PBS. I was born in Scotland and remember watching the original with my mum. The first episode did not disapont.
